Franklin Covey “7 HABITS FOR MANAGERS” Now Offered by SBDC
As a result of an agreement between Franklin Covey and the ASBDC (Association of Small Business Development Centers), the NJSBDC at Rutgers-Camden is now able to offer the renowned “7 Habits For Managers” program to companies with 300 or fewer employees. This workshop is normally priced at $799 per person, however, NJSBDC is able to offer this 2 Day workshop for $395 per person. The two day workshop will be offered on Friday, Mar. 7 (Part I) and Friday, Mar. 14 (Part II) from 9am-5pm at the Waterfront Technology Center, 200 Federal Street in Camden, NJ. Those interested in registering should call 856-225-6221. Class size is limited to 25 so register early to reserve your place.
This program is based on the best selling book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” written by Stephen Covey. The original material, presentation and tools have been adapted for business managers. Attendees will learn how to apply the 7 Habits to business relationships and situations in order to become more effective in their roll as managers. Specific skills that will be learned include conflict resolution; execution of business strategies; collaboration; accountability and trust; prioritization; team and employee development and performance management.
Thanks to the support of Brenda Hopper and Deb Smarth (NJSBDC) Gary Rago, the director of the NJSBDC center at Rutgers in Camden was trained as a “7 Habits for Managers” facilitator at a 3 day ASBDC conference in Denver Colorado. Gary is excited to be a facilitator of this material and believes this is a great opportunity for business owners and managers to attend a program that in the past might have been too expensive.
